When will my favorite F-tdm band come to my town?
Please keep checking your favorite F-tdm band's myspace and thefactorytdm.com to see all the latest tour dates in America and Europe. Tour dates will be available on each bands myspace site, as well as ticket pre-sales and after parties. Be sure to check our blog as well for more information!


Will a bad ass F-tdm band shirt be sold on your site?
Soon..... Our bands like to hold on to their merch to help with touring costs, but when they release them to us, we will make sure they are accessible to you. Keep an eye out for The FactoryTDM merch as well, available exclusively on the website, social network sites, and any FactoryTDM band show.


How does a band get signed to The FactoryTDM?
Playing and performing music that doesn't suck will certainly help. Hours, days, and months of pure practice, hard work, and dedication will show in the product you present. 

We look for a lot of things when signing bands. Most important is the music, additude, and potential. A strong work ethic is key and is the only way you will be successful.  Members with great personalities and ideas are also very important as we work closely with our bands and talk to them often about the path of their careers. 

Do all you can for your band before trying to get signed to any label. Record and press an EP, book your own shows, promote your band online, play shows in and around your region, then play more shows, and then keep playing shows, etc. Putting all you can into your band will attract labels and people who will want to do the same. No one will believe in your work if you don't.  


My band wants to send a demo. What kind of bands do you sign and how do we submit one? 
Quite simply, it should stand out and sound good. We get a lot of demos and listen to everything that comes in. But it takes a lot more than a quality demo. 

If your band sounds like bands we already work with, then thats a good start. But, we love all kinds of music and welcome all types of artists. We are very happy when we here something that is new, edgy, and fresh. 

Currently we only accept Electronic submissions, EPK's. We also get tons of mypsace and other type of submissions, which we gladly visit. Your myspace, website, and others should have a very quick and powerfull impact. Music is most important, but we like to see photos and videos as well. If we like what we see and hear we will contact you and ask for more. 

Even if you only want an opinion on your music, we are happy to give you one if time permits.

What does The FactoryTDM do for the bands?
We are a small independent label, so any band that is looking for a free ride and big advance is encouraged to look elsewhere. We will only work with bands that have shown they can hustle and bust their ass for their own benefit. 

After that, we work closely with the bands, management, booking agents and publicists to make sure we're doing as much as possible to get our bands and their music out to as many potential fans as possible. We help with everything from album recording and production, promotion and artwork for marketing, tour promotion, and merchandising. Our bands are our family and we help them in every way we can. 

We also work closely with our partner label, Teifdruck-Musik in Germany. In addition to promoting their bands here in the US, our bands also have access to the european market.

 
What is Teifdruck-musik?
Teifdruck-music is quickly becoming the premier heavy music indie label in Germany. Brian, Brian, and Chris were originally signed by Daniel and Teifdruck and have since developed a partnership aimed and promoting his artists in the US and mutual success in the world wide market. 


Does The FactoryTDM have their own in-house studio and design firm?
What a random question... but yes. The factoryTDM is just one aspect of The Factory LLC. We are based in Reno, NV, and what started as one stop shop for bands to record and have their album artwork designed as they work, has now grown into a larger operation. Our studio has produced first class recordings for the last 4 years and is set to expand into new digs and become a destination recording studio for world class artists. Plus, our design firm now has worked with some of the biggest artists in the world. We are a full service design firm doing anything from CD artwork, to myspace and official website designs. You need it to look good, and we can help.


How can I help promote the bands on The FactoryTDM?
The easiest and most powerful thing you can do is tell your friends. If you see a band play an amazing show or hear a great song, tell your friend to check it out, too. You can also join our street team and help promote with stickers, posters, flyers and samplers or putting up banners on your myspace pages. There is so much you can do and signing up here is just the beginning! 


Do you have any suggestions for a new band just starting out?
There's plenty of ways to get started. Put on shows, get on any radio show you can, and promote, promote, promote!! Meet as many people as possible. But most importantly, Practice.

Watch other bands, learn from them. Take lessons, and get educated about your instrument and the business. It's just a matter of making the effort, and always pushing yourself and your music."

How do I get an internship at The FactoryTDM?
Email your resume here and let us know a little about yourself, when you'd be available to start and what you'd be interested in doing here. Before you do that you should know that internships are always unpaid but can often be in trade for college credits. We are always looking for bright individuals who are motivated, creative and wanting to work in the music industry.
